Gary Eugene Wilson

Funeral service for Gary Eugene Wilson will be 10 a.m., Mon., July 30, at Westside Holiness Church with Rev. Darrell Meadows officiating. Burial with military honors by the US Air Force will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sun. 1-6 p.m.

Gary died Wed., July 25, 2012, at his home at the age of 59.

The son of Elbert Eugene "Gene" and Mosolena Berthell "Bert" (Bell) Wilson was born Sept. 24, 1952, in Bartlesville. Gary graduated from Claremore High School in 1970, and continued his education at the Oklahoma Military Academy. Gary served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam. He worked at the Humpty Dumpty Grocery in Claremore for 14 years; and retired as a salesman from Pepsi Bottling Company after 25 years of service. On October 13, 1987, Gary married Becky Charlene Haddox in Fayetteville, AR. He enjoyed bass fishing, baseball, playing music, watching football and baseball on TV, playing billiards, and playing on his computer. Gary was a great bass player and learned to play from his dad. He was a member of the Strike King Bass Club.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Becky of the home; children: Robert Wilson and wife, Nancy of Claremore, Amee Buchanan and husband, Allen of Claremore, Jenny Herriven and husband, Richard of Claremore, Jeremy Robison and James Buster of Tulsa, Jaime Robison and Aubrey Smith of Tulsa, Josh Robison and Adam Neal of Tulsa; sister, Charlotte Bartles and husband, Edward of Claremore; brother, Wayne Wilson and wife, Deborah of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren: Lesley and Colton Wilson, Tyler and Kaylee Buchanan, and Bryce and Gage Herriven all of Claremore, and Caylin Robison of Tulsa; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
