George Allen Chaney

Celebration of life services for George Allen Chaney will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 10:00am at House of Prayer Holiness Church in Foyil, OK. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 1:00-8:00pm with family greeting friends from 6:00-8:00pm at MMS-Payne Funeral Home.

George Allen Chaney was born January 17, 1961 to George Edward Chaney and Roberta Jean (LeCrone) Chaney in Pryor, Oklahoma. George passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the age of 63.

George was raised in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Then moved to Seneca, Missouri where he graduated high school. He retired after 20 years of service from Blue Linx, then went to work for Oklahoma Department of Transportation until his death.

George and Janie Chaney married on July 7, 2008. They made their home east of Foyil, Oklahoma. Lived a life full of love, laughter, fun and adventure. They attended church together and served the Lord at the House of Prayer. 

George did not have biological children. He adopted many into his heart. His greatest joy was being a Papa. He loved the outdoors, making people laugh, doing for others, bonding over food, and serving the Lord.

Preceded in death by his parents, George Edward Chaney and Roberta Jean Chaney.

Survivors include wife, Janie Chaney, heart adopted children, Ricky Hendrix, Korie Hendrix, Brittany Clark, Brandie Kirkland, Angela Hendrix, their spouses, brother Robin Culie and wife Teresa, nephews, Ed Culie and Rob Culie, niece, Michelle Ford, and their spouses, grandchildren, church brothers and sisters, and a multitude of family and friends.
