Gerald Adair Barger Sr.

Graveside service for Gerald Adair Barger, Sr. will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, at Ward's Grove Cemetery, Foyil, with Rev. Galen Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Mon 1- 8 p.m.

Gerald passed away Thurs., May 2, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 70.

The son of Carl and Velma (Adair) Barger was born June 10, 1942, in Rogers County. Gerald grew up in Chelsea, and graduated from Chelsea High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chelsea. In 1977, he married Lois Robins in Tulsa. Gerald worked at Badger Meter in Tulsa as an assembly line worker. He enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers.

Gerald is preceded in death by his parents; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Lois of the home; children: Carol Lynn Morgan and husband, Brandon of Claremore, and Gerald Barger, Jr. of the home; siblings: Bonnie Taylor of Tulsa, Edwin Carl Barger and wife, Marilyn of California, and Linda Mahoney and husband, Rick of Mobile, AL; granddaughter, Angel Morgan of Claremore; brother-in-law, Charles Allen Robins of Foyil; and nephew, Allen Michael Robins of Foyil.
