Gerard Richard Catlett

Graveside service for Gerard Richard "Jerry" Catlett will be 2 p.m., Tues., June 11, at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 9 a.m.-noon.

Jerry passed away Sat., June 8, 2013, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 61.

The son of Edward Raymond and Adele Josephine (Olsen) Catlett was born Dec. 27, 1951, in St. Louis, MO. Jerry grew up in St. Louis and graduated from high school in 1971. That same year he entered the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he traveled for a couple of years before settling in Inola. Jerry worked as an electrician for Union Local 584, retiring in 2010. He was an avid bird hunter and fisherman.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving companion of 8 years, Stephanie (Nottingham) Mann of the home; step-children: Bobby Nottingham of Claremore, Darrell Nottingham and wife, Amanda of Chouteau, Stephanie Higgins and husband, Kevin of Inola; step-grandchildren: Trinity and Orion Higgins; brother, Raymond Catlett and wife, Joyce of Collinsville, IL; and nephews: Alan and Rick Catlett of Collinsville, IL.
