Born July 12, 1944 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Elmer Emery and Julia Lee (Williams) Weiche, Glenda graduated from Northside Senior High School in 1962. Following her graduation, she moved to Tulsa to work for St. Francis Hospital, and while there she met Sam. On July 31, 1964, she married Samuel Redden, and the couple made Tulsa home for a time before moving to Kentucky. Sam's employment took the couple to St. Louis next, and they made that their home for many years. In 1997, Sam retired, and they moved to Claremore to be near family.
Glenda enjoyed many things in life, but most was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, which made the holidays even more special. Glenda took up the art of ceramics, and later became a certified teacher. She loved a good game of cards with friends, craft shows, and playing games on the computer. She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord.
Those family members that survive include her children, Ginny Redden of St. Louis, Missouri, Teresa Redden of Claremore, David Redden and wife Suzanne of Verdigris, and Curtis Redden, also of Claremore, grandchildren, Jack Redden, Blake Redden and Brittney Shorter; great- grandchildren, Christopher Shorter, Dhemii White, Chloe Lynn Harrelson, and one on the way. Also her sister, Mary Holland and husband Roy, and dear friends Mike and Wilma Mobley, and their children Mike Mobley, Steve Mobley, Charles Mobley and Cindy (Mobley) Willis, and many other extended family members. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and husband Sam.
