Glendene Roberta Landers

Glendene Roberta Landers, 91, passed away on January 26, 2025. She was born to Glenn and Beulah Gregory in Vici, Oklahoma, where she grew up and attended school.

On December 30, 1951, Glendene married Roy Landers in Vici. The couple moved to the Tulsa area in 1952, later, in 1960, settling in Inola and eventually making their home outside of Foyil in 1975. Together, Glendene and Roy were dedicated members of Friendly Foyil Baptist Church. Glendene always said the last several years was "Im Blessed" and “Praise the LORD!” to everyone she met. 

Glendene had a love for the outdoors and a passion for caring for her cattle herd. She also enjoyed crocheting, camping, and cooking. Her joy came from simple pleasures, time spent outside, and the love she shared with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Landers; son, Guy Leslie Landers; parents, Glenn and Beulah Gregory; and siblings: Mildred Brown, Charlene McGinnes, Clyde Gregory, Emma Jean Freeman, Athol Gregory, Carl Gregory, Uneta Parks, and Uleta Nielsen.

Glendene is survived by her children, Richard Landers and wife Susan, and Linda Day and husband Gordon. Her cherished legacy continues with her grandchildren: Martha Sue Landers, Glenn Roy Landers and wife Morgan, Rachel Ann Clark and husband Evan, Mary Grace Day, David Brian Day, Paul Benjamin Day and wife Hannah, and Gloriann Michelle Day. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Glendene will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and love for her family and nature. Her gentle spirit and devotion to her Savior, Jesus Christ and her loved ones will be deeply missed.
