Born June 8, 1921 in Checotah, Oklahoma to Levi Clarence and Loma Elizabeth (Jernigan) Hale, Glenn went to school in Checotah. Following his education, he worked for Civilian Conservation Corps until he was old enough to join the Army. Before and during his stint with the Army, Glenn wrote to a young lady, Imogene Frances Sumter. When he was honorably discharged, he returned to Oklahoma and the couple married on September 19, 1946. Home was Claremore for a time, then to Broken Arrow. In the early 1980's, they moved back to Claremore, and this has been home since.

Glenn's hobbies included gardening, both flower and vegetable. He enjoyed making his home beautiful, especially his yard. Glenn was a collector; he bought items at estate and garage sales. He would trade and sell these items at different places. This required many storage sites and a good memory of what he had in inventory. Glenn loved his family and took great care of them.

Those family members that survive include his daughter Glenna Adams and husband Randy of Mannford, his son Patrick Hale of Claremore; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his brother Jim Hale and wife Delores of Sapulpa, and several nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, wife Imogene, daughter Sue Ann Lamar, his brothers Leroy Hale and Gene Hale and his sister Susie Bean.
