Gloria Sue Berg

Funeral service for Gloria Berg will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11:00am. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 1:00pm-7:00pm with family receiving friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Inola Funeral Home. 

Gloria Sue (Hayes) Berg, age 83, of Inola, Oklahoma went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Emerald Care Center Nursing Home in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on May 30, 1941, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Reverend John Kenneth and Margaret Myrtle Katherine Mahan Hayes. 

Gloria met her husband Ronald in 1960, while visiting family in Inola, Oklahoma. They married on March 25, 1961 and made their home in Inola, Oklahoma, raising three children. Gloria enjoyed cooking, photography, reading, shopping, spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren, as well as singing and listening to country and southern gospel music. Her family was a source of comfort and pride for her. As the eldest Hayes sibling, Gloria was a trusted confidant and adviser, always willing to listen without judgment and offer support.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Ronnie Hayes, sister Carletta Jo Hayes Duncan, her grandson Cody Austin Berg, and her son-in-law Michael Martin.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-three years, Ronald H. Berg of Inola, Oklahoma; daughter Delinda Martin of Inola, Oklahoma; two sons, Shawn (Dawn) Berg of Monticello, Florida, Erik Wade (Jill) Berg of Owasso, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Jessica Berg of Clearwater, Florida, Cody (Shelby) Martin of Forsyth, Missouri, Danielle Martin and Justin (Jazmine) Martin of Inola, Oklahoma, Sydney Berg of Monticello, Florida, Henry Berg and Helena Berg of Owasso, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren (on the way); two brothers, David (Connie) Hayes of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Donnie (Karen) Hayes of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma; and one sister, Deborah Crum of Braggs, Oklahoma.
