Graveside services for Gypsy Shaw Tacket will be 1 p.m., Fri., Dec. 3, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, McKinney, TX, with Dr. Jim Palmer officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Gypsy passed away Tues., Nov. 30, 2010, at her home at the age of 91.
The daughter of Lon and Lovie Allen was born Oct. 6, 1919, in Greenville, TX. She was the owner and operator of Shaw's Cafe in McKinney, TX, prior to moving to Claremore to be near her family.
Gypsy was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Shaw and Charles Tackett; parents; four sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Hall and son-in-law, Kenneth of Claremore; grandson, Gary Smith and wife, Stephanie of Loveland, CO; granddaughter, Stacy Gray and husband, Jeremy of Claremore; great-grandchildren who were the love of her life, Erin Smith of Loveland, CO, and Major, Yale, and Cannon Gray of Claremore. She was most fortunate to have devoted and caring long time caregivers, Colleen Terry and Norah Brakebill.
