Funeral service for Harold Atzbach will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Claremore First Baptist Church Chapel.
Harold Eugene Atzbach was born in Iola, Kansas on December 7, 1940 to Henry W. & Mary Mae (Madison) Atzbach. Harold grew up in Iola and spent time while he was young as a milk man until deciding to join the U.S. Navy in 1961. Harold spent over 20 years in the Navy, traveling the world on aircraft carriers and serving time in Vietnam during the war. During his time in the Navy, Harold met the love of his life, Roberta Ann (Fletcher) Atzbach. They were married in 1970, and raised three boys. They lived in multiple cities in California and Washington State.
In 1981, Harold retired from the Navy and moved his family to Tulsa, and later Claremore, Oklahoma. Harold was a supervisor at Hodges Quality meats for almost 20 years. During his time in Oklahoma, Harold made the decision to follow Jesus Christ, and through the years he served in several churches in Claremore, including Faith Baptist, Rehoboth Baptist and First Baptist Church.
Harold enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything else. He loved to spend time with grandkids on his farm in Chelsea, OK, riding four wheelers and raising cattle. In his later years, Harold enjoyed spending time working with his sons.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ralph and Albert Atzbach, and his beloved wife, Roberta Ann Atzbach.
