Harvey Lorenzo Anderson

Funeral service for Harvey Lorenzo Anderson will be 2 p.m., Monday, April 12, at the New Hope Church of Life. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-6 p.m.

Harvey died Wed., April 7, 2010, at Muskogee Regional Medical Center at the age of 84.

The son of Robert Benson and Nellie Blanche (Glover) Anderson was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Douglas. Harvey attended school in Hayweard and Foyil, graduating from Foyil High School in 1944. On Nov. 8, 1949, he married Daisy Imogene Erwin in Bentonville, AR. They made their home in Bushyhead. Harvey was retired from Douglas Aircraft and the State of Oklahoma. He was a member of the IOOF of Chelsea, and the Elks Lodge of Pryor. He had served on the Bushyhead School Board. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards with his neighbors, and dancing. Harvey was a good daddy and husband.

He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Daisy of the home; children: Rhonda Villareal and husband, Tom of Grove, Connie Kellehan and husband, Gene of Claremore, Bob Anderson and wife, Melissa of Chelsea, Rod Anderson of Claremore, Shelly Maggard and husband, Mike of Chelsea, Cindy Carlin and husband, Darin of Claremore, and David Anderson and wife, Rachael of Claremore; sister, Clara Fouse of Coffeyville, KS; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
