Hazel Josephine Huff was born in Indiana in 1920 to Emma Emerson Howard and George Howard. The family soon moved to Hamilton, Ohio where she spent her school years.

She married Howard Huff in Hamilton, Ohio on August 17, 1940. Three children were born of this union, Howard Sanford Huff, Glenda Kay Huff and Martha Jo Huff. The family moved to Claremore, Oklahoma in 1951 and later moved to the Inola area.

She was a member of the Claremore First Methodist Church and was a fifty year member of The Order of Eastern Star. As an avid Bridge player she belonged to a Bridge Club that met one Wednesday a month. She grew many wonderful, lifelong friendships there. The little things are what she taught us to appreciate; the taste of fresh picked Strawberries, the smell of Honeysuckle and swimming with her grandchildren, just to name a few.

She and Howard loved to travel and they traveled extensively after Howard’s retirement. Her greatest joy was her family - her husband, her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She spent countless hours watching her Grandchildren in their various recreational activities. She is survived by: Husband Howard of the home, daughter Dr. Jo Myers of Inola, daughter Kay Ingersoll and husband Win of Inola and son Howard “Sandy” Huff and wife Bobbie of Tulsa. Grandchildren Joleta Spurlock and husband Larry Spurlock, Wendy Keener and husband Dee Keener, Jenni Friederich and husband Jason Freiderich, James Myers, Scott Huff and Jeff Myers and his wife Gina Myers. Great Grandchildren include Razz Keener, Radley Keener, Walt Spurlock, Bryce Spurlock, Laura Friederich, Alex Friederich and Josie Myers. She is also survived by one brother-in-law Taylor “Whitey” Huff and wife Julia of Middletown, Ohio and many other extended family members.
