Funeral service for Hunter Lee O'Dell will be 10 a.m., Wed., Nov. 10, at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.
Hunter died Fri., Nov. 5, 2010, at the age of 16.
The son of Leann Guinn O'Dell and Steve Adams was born Jan. 12, 1994, in Tulsa. He had attended Foyil schools, and currently was a Junior at Claremore High School. He was in the bio-medical program, and was just selected as a People to People Ambassador. He received many academic awards, and was a member of the Honors Society and HOSHA. Hunter had also received Student of the Month several times. He could speak four languages, and read runic and japanese. He was also very accomplished in speed reading. He had alot of accomplishments for someone so young, but that was Hunter, always striving to be the best. Hunter's goal was to become a doctor. He loved to read everything and was fantastically brilliant. He was never afraid of any challenge. Hunter had an unmistakeable smile, and a sense of loving life and happiness about him. He loved video games, music, Ghost Hunting, anime manga, snowboarding, martial arts, being irish, and anything ninja. Hunter was also a champion chess player.
Hunter is survived by his mother, Leann O'Dell of Claremore; father, Steve Adams of Broken Arrow; sisters: Jamie O'Dell of Claremore, and Stevie Adams of Broken Arrow; and grandparents: Don and Jean O'Dell of Foyil, and Frank and Shirley Adams of Haskell.
