Funeral service for Chelsea resident, Ila Elizabeth Heape, will be held 11:00 Friday, October 25, 2013, at Winganon Cemetery. Pastor Leland Bartlett will officiate. Visitation will be 9-10 am at Chelsea Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Ila went to her heavenly home on October 22, 2013, from her home in Chelsea. She was 75 years old.
She was born on May 31, 1938, to Louis and Dora (Walton) Inman of Nowata, OK. She married Joseph Leon Heape on June 4, 1963, in Durant, OK. She loved to play the piano and listen to music. She also loved gardening, fishing, and being outdoors. She loved the Lord with all her heart.
Ila is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Dora Inman, and brothers, Charles Inman and John Inman.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph L. Heape, of the home, daughters, Tina Hanewinkel and husband Hank, Jr., and Teresa Shutte, sons, David Handy and wife Tammy, Gary Handy, and Joey Heape . She is also survived by granddaughters, Christina Hanewinkel and Elizabeth Wall, grandsons Hank Hanewinkel III, and Joseph Handy; sister, Louise O'Conner, and numerous nieces and nephews.
