Israel Antuna, a dedicated and hardworking man who touched the lives of many, age 57, passed away on January 31, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on September 15, 1966, in Torreón, Coahuila Mexico to his parents Jose Encarnación Antuna Diaz and Luz Maria Bueno Lopez.
In Israel’s youth, he excelled as an athlete in track events and soccer. His prowess on the field made him stand out among others. Israel began his career as a Metal framer in Florida before relocating to Claremore, where he embarked on a new path as a Trim Carpenter. In 2015, he founded his own business called Goldenwood Millworks, LLC and ran it successfully alongside his sons. Israel's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft earned him great respect within the community.
With a strong Christian faith, Israel was an avid churchgoer who found solace in worship and actively spread the word of God to those around him. He was known for his selflessness and always ensured that his family's needs were met. A man of humor and mischief, Israel loved playing pranks and sharing laughter with friends and family. Even after a full day's work as a carpenter, he would take on side jobs for loved ones. This display of dedication showcased both his love for the trade and his desire to help others.
Israel's proudest accomplishment was being a fast learner and giving his all to everything he pursued. His determination shone brightly in all aspects of life. His success as a loving husband to Gisella Antuna, father to Giana Antuna, Esther Sova, Israel Antuna Jr, Jacob Antuna and beloved uncle to Amanda Carrillo, Jackie Carrillo, Joshua Carrillo, Issac Carrillo; Grandchildren, Blanca Antuna, Johnathan Borrallas, Xitlali Borrallas; Son In law, Andrew Sova; Siblings Josefina Antuna, Alma Antuna, Nohemi Antuna, Flor Antuna, Mario Antuna, Aaron Antuna, Luz Esther Antuna, Xochitl Antuna, Ramon Antuna and Soledad Antuna will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Israel Antuna's presence in the lives of his family, friends, and community will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and the joy he brought to those around him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
