Funeral service for Jack Armond Butler will be 1 p.m., Thurs., April 25, at First Baptist Church of Inola with his son, Dr. Michael Butler, officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory.
Jack passed away Fri., April 19, 2013, at his home at the age of 79.
The son of Corbett Lee and Edith Jessie (Henderson) Butler was born Aug. 9, 1933, in Santa Monica, CA. Jack worked as a truck driver for most of his life, retiring in 1995. He also worked for the Inola Health Care Center taking care of the building maintenance. Jack served as a Sunday school teacher and Lay minister. He accepted salvation on Dec. 27, 1981. Jack served as a Sunday school teacher and Lay minister; and went on mission trips to Russia and Israel. His greatest desire was to serve God and love others.
Jack is survived by his children: Michael A. Butler of Purcell, Ricky L. Butler of Purcell, Danny J. Butler of Spring, TX, and Tina M. Nelms of Owasso; sister, Betty Reyburn of Owasso; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
