Jack Buddy Moore went home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2013 at the age of 82.
The son of Ruben and Evelyn Spry Moore was born December 18, 1930 in Ralston, Oklahoma. As a young child he and his family made the move to rural Rogers County. There he attended Bushyhead, Foyil, and Chelsea Schools.
On April 11, 1949 at the age of 18, Jack gave his life to the Lord. It was also by following his faith that he met Mildred Christine Criner, a young evangelist from Coweta. It was a perfect match, and they were married June 4, 1952 in Zincville, Oklahoma. Over the next 10 years Jack and Mildred traveled the country together preaching God's word.. Jack took his first church in Poor Valley, Virginia. The next several years would take Jack back to Oklahoma, where he pastored his second church , the Full Gospel Holiness Church in Chelsea, from 1962 to 1979. He held several revivals before his third pastorate at Cunningham, Kentucky, where he stayed for a short time.
Once home again in Chelsea, he built and pastored Trinity Holiness, where he served for 28 years, until his retirement just a short time ago. Jack loved spending time in the woods by himself praying. Gardening and keeping up his yard were also a few of his other hobbies.
