Jackie Lynn Sellers

Jackie Lynn Sellers, a dedicated and compassionate individual who made significant contributions to the medical field, passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 67 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on December 16, 1955, in her hometown of Claremore, Oklahoma, Jackie lived a life filled with love, support, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.

Jackie excelled in her career in the medical field for many years. She started at Claremore Regional Hospital over 30 years ago working in various departments and later worked for Hillcrest Claremore in the Physician Credentialing department. 

Educated at Sequoyah High School, Jackie graduated with the class of 1974. It is worth noting that she and her first husband Bobby were honored as the first homecoming football king and queen at Sequoyah High School. 

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jackie had a vivacious personality that left an indelible mark on those around her. Described as a loving and supportive lady, she touched the lives of countless family members and friends throughout her lifetime. Her warm presence offered comfort and encouragement to those in need.

Family was paramount to Jackie, and she reveled in attending all of her grandchildren's activities, from sports to dance recitals and FFA events. She cherished every moment spent with them as they brought immense joy to her life. She adored watching NFL football, particularly cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles. Additionally, she found solace in watching shows like Gunsmoke and Friends while munching on popcorn and sipping Dr Pepper. Indulging in chocolates and other sweets provided another source of delight for Jackie. Moreover, she possessed a deep appreciation for lighthouses and enjoyed collecting them. Whenever she had the opportunity, she would visit beaches, with Newport, Oregon, and Clearwater Beach in Florida being among her favorites. 

Jackie was predeceased by her father, Linden Walkingstick, her first husband Bobby Sellers, and her son Brandon Sellers. 

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. Her mother, Lorene Walkingstick, along with her surviving family members include her son Justin Sellers and his wife Kelli; daughters Andrea Woods and her husband David, Autum Vandenameele and her husband Brandon; brother Mike Walkingstick and his wife Teresa. Jackie's legacy extends to the next generation through her beloved grandchildren: Illiana Sellers, Abby Davis, Avery Sellers, Kellen Sellers, Peyton Sellers, Lauren Sellers, Connor Vandenameele, Chase Vandenameele, Brett Woods, Ryan Woods and great grandson Kashius Allan.
