Services for Jacob Wayne Carter will be 10:00am, Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Inola United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Bill Batt Cemetery in Cherokee County, under the direction of Inola Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1pm—8pm, Monday, January 5, at the funeral
home. Jacob passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the age of 35.
Jacob Wayne Carter was born November 16, 1979 in Claremore, Oklahoma to James Randolph Carter and Rhonda Michelle (Bivins) Clinton. He attended Oaks School from 1st grade through the 7th and finished at Inola, where he played football for the Inola Longhorns. Jacob’s hobbies included riding his 4-wheeler and motorcycles. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. Jacob worked for Cherokee Builders as a heavy equipment operator.
Those family members that survive include his parents James Carter and wife Marie of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his mother Rhonda Bivins of Rocky Ford, Oklahoma; his daughter Jessica Marie Carter of Inola; his aunt Regina Mann and husband Milford; brother Byron Carter and wife Tonya and cousin Christopher Mann; special family friends Benjamin and Daniel Murphy; his nephews Tatan, Tristin, and Clinton Carter and niece Pacha and other extended family members. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Alta (Boots) Carter and Joe and Gladys Clinton.
