Jacob Tyler Davis, 17 years old, was born October 16, 1996, in Kentucky and moved to Claremore, OK, before the age of 1.
He was a cancer survivor by the age of 5, and in 2012 he fought and survived the West Nile virus. He was a young man of great character. He was honest, strong, loved greatly, and helped many. He knew God and lived each minute and never took anyone for granted. In 2013 he earned his GED and worked full time at Hamill Metals in Adair. This August he was to attend NTC in Pryor. All who knew him were blessed. God saved him at birth and loved us so much that He gave us 17 years to love him and be loved deeply by him. On May 17, 2014, Jacob was called home at the site of an automobile accident.
He is survived by his parents: Adam Bentley and Lorie Lee Davis of Chelsea; sister, Katelyn Marie Davis of Adair; paternal grandfather, Jerry Ray Davis of Chelsea; maternal grandmother, Wanda Faye Collins of Independence, KY; many aunts and uncles and his cousins. Thank you Kentucky cousins for the memories and memorial.
A memorial is planned for June 7, 2014, at his home in Chelsea.
The day before he left us he opened the gate at his home and in his own words said, “anyone who wants to come, let them come”. So come and celebrate the life of a wonderful young man.
