Born May 16, 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Douglas J and Teresa Jean (Decker) Weathers, Jake was reared and educated in Tulsa, where he attended Metro Christian Academy. He continued his education at Tulsa Welding School and became a welder. While Jake was in school, he was very active in sports and excelled in baseball and golf. Even after school he continued to golf with his friends. There wasn't much he couldn't do; he gave each challenge in life his best and exceeded expectations. Jake honed his talent of singing and playing at an early age. He would sing hymns at church and harmonize with his mom and he began playing the guitar in middle school.

Jake took a crucial role in taking care of his father during his illness and his compassion and selflessness became invaluable to the time it gave to his father's life. After his passing, Jake began to make his music a priority and in 2016 wrote and recorded his first album, later making 3 more.

In 2020 Jake met Brenda Wilson while playing a gig at her work, the two fell in love and became inseparable. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Jake loved to cook and spend time outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Those family members that survive include his wife Brenda Wilson Flint; mother Teresa Decker Weathers and step father Ed Weathers; sister Leah Flint Harper and husband Mike; nieces Natalie and Olivia Harper and numerous other beloved family members. Jake was preceded in death by his father Douglas Flint; paternal grandparents J.A. and Margaret (Kidd) Flint; maternal grandparents Jack and Doris Elene (Garner) Decker.
