Jake Froman

Graveside services for Jake Froman will be 11 a.m., Fri., Jan. 3, at Woodlawn Cemetery. Jake passed away on his birthday, Wednesday, January 01, 2014. He was 77. Born January 1, 1937 in Claremore, Oklahoma to William and Julia (Horner) Froman, Jake received his education from Tiawah schools. Following his schooling, Jake worked for a time in Davenport, Iowa washing windows in the city’s high rise buildings. He returned home when his father’s health began to fail. On March 15, 1964 Jake married Linda Moody and this union was blessed with 2 children. Jake’s brother Bob needed someone to help run the gas station on the east side of Claremore and Jake took the position. He enjoyed his customers and all the ladies in town new they could count on Jake to make sure their car was well cared for. His caring nature was often seen in the way he would see a need and just take care of it for people that couldn’t do it themselves.
