Rev. James Grigg

Services celebrating the life of Rev. James Grigg will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at River of Life Assembly of God in Inola, OK. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, May 8, 2023, at Inola Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Inola, OK.

James passed away on May 4, 2023, he was 89. 

James Grigg was born to James Grigg and Dora Jefferies on August 3, 1933, in Wagoner, OK. Around the age of 25 James accepted the call to preach and began his journey in the ministry. Over the years he pastored many churches and even pioneered churches. He would often preach revivals and evangelize across the country. He lived his life to preach the Gospel. He was always ready to share the Gospel with someone. In his spare time, James enjoyed fish and camping. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family around a campfire. He loved the OU Sooners and loved watching them play football. First and foremost in his life was the Lord and his family, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris; son, Roger Grigg and brother, Junior Grigg. James is survived by his daughters, Linda Siebert and husband Ron of Butler, MO and Alesha "Snook" Beech and husband Ron of Inola, OK; sister, Irene Glass of Warner, OK and sister in Christ Laurie Phillips and husband Jay of Seminole, OK; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
