James Floyd Hurst

James Floyd Hurst Sr. , 80, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024. He was born on January 25, 1944, in San Jose, California, to Floyd Raymond Hurst and Bonnie Ann Hurst (Mitchell). James lived a full and vibrant life, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him with his great sense of humor and constant jokes.

James was a man of many passions. He loved playing bingo, watching John Wayne movies and professional wrestling, listening to real country music, taking his family camping and indulging in his favorite meals from KFC with a cold Coke. Throughout his life, he worked many jobs that he loved, but above all, his greatest love was his family.

He is survived, children: Jackie Hayes, James Hurst Jr., Melissa Hayes, Marty West; his brother Larry Hurst; his sisters, Elizabeth, Dorothy; many grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

 James was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy Hurst; parents, Floyd and Bonnie Hurst; his brothers Dennis, Gary, Randy, and Stanley, sister Joanne.

James will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the memories of his family and friends.
