Memorial service for James "Jimmy" Ray Kilpatrick will be 2:00 p.m.,
Friday, July 12, 2019 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Jimmy passed
away on Saturday, July 6, 2019. He was 70.
Born December 30, 1948 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Emsley and Lucille
(Freeman) Kilpatrick, Jimmy attended school in Claremore, graduating
with the class of 1968. He enlisted in the Army following high school
and returned home after his service. He worked for Pepsi Corporation
in sales as a vending and route driver for many years and left there
and worked for Bama Pie for a time. He then went to work for Claremore
Public Schools for several years. Later he worked for Delphi and
Allied Signal, retiring from there.
Jimmy loved sports and enjoyed playing golf every chance he could.
He cheered his beloved OU Sooners each time they played. His friends
were very important to him and he loved having his family around.
Those family members that survive include his son James Kilpatrick,
wife Kathi; daughter Jamie Kilpatrick, wife Amanda; his grandchildren
Roderick Haas, Cameron Higgins, Braden Kilpatrick, Tanner Higgins,
Bryson Kilpatrick, Nathan Eastabrooks and Zh'Montea Kilpatrick and his
10 great grandchildren, many cousins as well as a host of friends and
other relatives. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Emsley and Lucille Kilpatrick.
