Jason Stuart Battles

Memorial service for Jason Battles will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel.  Pastor Tom Branch will officiate.

The son of Jimmie Battles  and Debora (Tuter) Cole was born October 29th, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He later attend school in Verdigris and Claremore.  Jason would then begin his working career.  He began hanging steel for Bridge Crane, and then moved on into the welding and pipe fitting trade.  In 2004 he would meet Candice Tartar.  From that point on the two have been together, and have made their home in Talala.

In his spare time Jason had many hobbies and past times.  As a young man he ventured into the rodeo arena, riding bulls.  This was followed up by his love for micro racing.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars.  

Many people knew Jason in many different ways; however all who knew him would agree on one thing.  That he was the most unselfish person they have know.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his wife Candice Battles; parents, Jimmie Battles and Deborah Cole; sons, Dakota Battles and Dakota Johnson;  daughter, Kaydance Battles; step-mon, Paula Battles, brothers, Kevin Battles and Dillon Cole, step-sisters, Cori Connell and many extended family and friends.
