Graveside service for Jennie Lind Brown will be 2 p.m., Monday, June 3, at Sweeten Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday 9 a.m.-1 p. m.
Jennie passed away Tues., May 28, 2013, at the Inola Health Care Center at the age of 89.
The daughter of James Abraham and Rosa Evelyn (Vankirk) Lingenfelter was born Nov. 1, 1923, in LeRoy, KS. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, making ceramics, and porcelain dollmaking.
Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Denton Brown in 1993; her parents; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her sons: Ted L. Brown and wife, Colleen of Inola, and Ben G. Brown and wife, Mary of Long Island, NY; 5 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
