Jennifer LeaAnn Kitt, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 49.
The daughter of David and Vicky (Graham) Ray was born December 15, 1974 in Ft. Scott, Kansas. Jennifer spent her formative years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where she attended Bartlesville schools. During these years, she enjoyed participating in competitive gymnastics and softball. She would graduate from Bartlesville High School in 1993.
Wanting to continue her education, Jennifer enrolled in Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where she joined the Delta Zeta Sorority. After college, she briefly returned to Bartlesville and began her career before moving to Tulsa. There, she took a job with TEKsystems, where with the help of some friends she met, Kelly Kitt. The two began dating and married on August 13, 2005.
Jennifer continued working until the birth of her first child, Grayson. She then chose to stay at home to focus on being a mother. In 2011, the Kitt family moved from Tulsa to Edmond, where they welcomed their second son, Sullivan. Although Jennifer returned to work briefly with ES2, her primary focus remained on her family.
Jennifer had many hobbies and enjoyed her spare time watching cooking shows on TV and traveling. Her favorite trips were annual vacations to Cancun; however, it was her children’s activities, such as flag football and basketball, that she enjoyed the most.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Vicky Ray, and father-in-law, George Leland Kitt.
Survivors include her loving husband, Kelly Kitt; sons, Grayson and Sullivan; father, David Ray; sister, Erin Polk; nephews Connor and Colin Polk; brother, Chris Ray; niece Vivian Ray; aunt, Judi Ray; uncle Steve Ray and wife Judy; Aunt Jenet Hill and husband Martin; mother-in-law, Darlene Kitt; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Thad, Sean, and Kevin Kitt, Bryan and Brenda Day, and Tammy and Mike Peoples. Jennifer loved to support her boys. She enjoyed attending their games cheering them on and videoing their successes. She will always be remembered as fun, energetic, loving and supportive of her family and their teams. We will all miss her cheerful laugh and fun personality at all of the games.
