Jerry Edwin Hunter Jr.

Jerry "Jay" Edwin Hunter Jr. passed away on March 15, 2020 at the age of 49.

The son of Jerry and Lilly Hunter was born January 17th, 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a boy he was raised in the Jenks area. He would later attended Jenks schools where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling. He was a member of the graduating class of 1990. Upon graduating Jay took an active roll in his families concrete business. Jay was currently working for Bama Foods.

In February of 2013 Jay met Sherri Brown. The two began dating, and quickly knew they had found their soul mate. After a long courtship Jay and Sherri married on February 29, 2020.

Although Jay was a man of very few words, his actions spoke loudly. At any hint of needing help you could count on Jay being there to lend a hand. When Sherri wanted something, Jay would make it happen. He did have a few hobbies he enjoyed as well, such as fishing and playing poker. However nothing made Jay happier than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren

He is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Hunter.

Survivors include his wife Sherri; parents, Jerry and Lilly Hunter; children, Hayden Hunter and wife Taylor, Garrett Hunter, Brittany Waller and husband Cody, and Madison Brown; grandchildren, Paizlee, Calvin, and Daisy, and brother, Ernie Hunter.
