Jerry Bea Peterson

Graveside service for Jerry Bea Peterson will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, at Washington Cemetery with Rev. Terrell Romberg officiating. Burial with military honors will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tues. 9 a.m.-noon.

Jerry died Fri., July 2, 2010, at his home at the age of 68.

The son of Clyde Bea and Argie Violet (Warren) Peterson was born Aug. 29, 1941, in Claremore. Jerry served in the U.S Air Force for 15 years including during the Vietnam War. He worked as a carpenter, and became a licensed Baptist minister. On June 5, 1961, Jerry married Joyce Ann Sallee in Odessa, TX.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, and a half-brother.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; daughter, Crystal D. Stewart and husband, Phillip of Claremore; son, Jarrod C. Peterson and wife, Sarah; 8 grandchildren; and half-brother, Donald S. Colvard of Catoosa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund.
