Jerry LeRoy Reynolds passed away on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, at the age of 78.

The son of Eugene N. and Kathryn (Willsey) Reynolds was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, November 9th, 1944.  As a young boy, he was raised in Tulsa.  He would go on to attend school at John Burroughs Elementary, Roosevelt Jr. High, and gradute from Tulsa Central in 1963.  Wanting to continue his education, Jerry enrolled at Oklahoma State University.   There he would join ROTC and study accounting.  Upon graduating, Jerry became active duty in the United States Army.  He would serve during the Vietnam War where he earned numerous medals including 2 Bronze Stars.  After his discharge, Jerry returned home to Tulsa.  There he later married and adopted two children, Chris and Vicki.   Jerry would put his accounting skills to work in the fraud department for Amarato-Hess in Tulsa.  He would also serve as a volunteer firefighter for the Verdigris Fire Department and was named their first captain.  He went on to serve as the treasurer of the board.  Later he would take his skills to Colorado where he would continue working the next 25 years for Apache Corporation, Rocky Flats, and Tri-State.  After retirement in 2012, Jerry moved back to Oklahoma, settling in Verdigris.  One day while out on a drive, Jerry stopped into a Braums in Henryetta.  It was there that he would meet the love of his life, Linda Pinkston.  They would marry on February 20, 2015, in Dewar, Oklahoma.

Over the years Jerry has had many hobbies and past times he enjoyed.  Many of those revolved around music.  As most people know, Jerry was an amazing trumpet player.  He played in many community bands and for numerous other organizations.  Jerry also loved helping people.  He volunteered as a Disabled American Veterans driver, taking veterans to appointments every week.  He logged over 100,000 miles of volunteer driving.  He enjoyed cross-country biking, baseball, softball, and bowling.   However, there were two major focuses that Jerry enjoyed the most.  One of those focuses was his church.  Jerry surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as a young man and was active in the local church in all the places he lived, serving on many boards, especially those that dealt with finances.  He was also part of a truck stop ministry and enjoyed visiting people who were in nursing homes.  His other main focus, was his family.  He and Linda loved traveling.  Over the past several years they traveled to places such as Ireland, Amsterdam, and Alaska as well as many other places throughout the United States.  Florida was one of his favorite destinations because that is where his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live.  He looked forward to visiting them many times a year.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Kathryn Reynolds; sister-in-law, Donna Reynolds, and brother-in-law, Tony Johnston.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Reynolds; son, Chris Reynolds; daughter, Vicki Mims and husband Rob; grandchildren, Rob Jr., Rachel, Rebekah, Noah, Zeke, Lydia, Selah, Jedidiah, and Jethro Mims; brothers, Gene Reynolds and wife Paula, and Tom Reynolds; sisters, Kathy Howard and husband Martin, and Sue Johnston; brother-in-law, Clifford Pinkston Jr., and many other extended family members.
