Jerry Rainey Trapp

Funeral service for Jerry Rainey Trapp will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 15, at Owalla Baptist Church with Rev. David Erwin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thurs. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 5-7 p.m. Jerry died Tues., April 12, 2011, at St. John Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 75. The son of William Orville and Gladys Oberta (Martin) Trapp was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Aldrich, Alabama. Jerry grew up and attended school in Marktree, AR. On Nov. 15, 1954, he married Lillie Faye Cleary in Mississippi. They made their home in Foyil around 1967. Jerry retired from OK Tubular and was also an ordained minister. He loved serving his church. He was the Associate Pastor at Owalla Baptist Church, and also served as a Deacon. He visited the Veterans Center, and traveled to different churches to speak.
