Graveside service for Jerry Richard Wilson will be 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Highland Cemetery in Inola. Jerry passed away at his home on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was 76.
Born June 27, 1941 in Inola, Oklahoma to John Kenneth Wilson, Sr. and Lucy Alta (Moore) Wilson, Jerry started school at Gregory and graduated from Inola High School in 1959. He continued his education by attending OSU Technical School in Okmulgee. He worked for a time with Coffee Time Service as a delivery man and later with Mistletoe Express as a mechanic. Jerry also worked for Hillcrest Medical Center as a carpenter and locksmith, retiring there in 2000.
On March 3, 1961 he married Oma Gene Warden in an Oologah ceremony, Claremore was home before moving to Inola; and the last 3 years have been spent back in Claremore. Jerry enjoyed garage sales, watching sports, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he loved being with them.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Wilson and his brother Bill Wilson.
Those family members that survive include his wife Oma; his daughter Michele Reeves and husband Rocky of Inola; daughter-in-law Renee Wilson of Claremore; his grandchildren Tyler Wilson and wife Molly of Castle Rock, Colorado, Miranda Watkins and husband Stephen Goad of Inola, Brittney Kila and husband Nick of Owasso, Garrett Watkins and friend Courtney Vanlandingham of Inola, Kendel Stocker and husband David of Claremore and Mandy Crutchfield and husband Heston also of Claremore; great grandchildren Griffin, Lainey, Everly, Haidyn, Hayzleigh, Adleigh, Cooper, Brady, Bryer, Hudson and Sawyer and many other extended family and friends.
