Jesse Collene Vollman passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at her home in Nowata at the age of 66.
The daughter of Ewel Laurel Melton and Ruth Johnson Kilgore was born September 26, 1951 in Chelsea, Oklahoma. As a young girl she and her family moved to Kansas City, Missouri. There she had many fond memories of growing up on McCoy Street. At the age of 19 she moved back to Chelsea. A few months later she moved Nowata.
Through her life Jesse primarily worked in the retail business. Most recently she worked for Homeland Grocery, where she retired in 2014.
In her spare time she had many hobbies and past times. She had always been a huge fan of Star Trek and Elvis. There was also a love for collecting knick knacks, which she displayed throughout her home. Most recently she enjoyed adult coloring books. However her true love was spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Abram Kilgore, father, Laurel Melton; brother, Thomas Melton; fiancé, Ronnie French, and her grandparents.
Survivors include her father, JC Abram; children, Otela "Teal" Kingsley, Eraina Bidleman, Thomas Scott and Tracy Burgoon; siblings, Sherry Melton, Rodney Melton and Candice Arnold; grandchildren, Autum Brenton, Heath Kingsley, Ashley Brenton, Laramie Kingsley, Christopher Frye, Jeremy Harper, Tiffany Mann, Dalton Scott, Jamie Harper, Ryan Burgoon, Ty Chism Hunter, Christel Burgoon, and Chase Burgoon; 15 great grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews along with many other extended family.
