Jimmie Lynn "Jim" Dikeman

Funeral service for Jimmie Lynn "Jim" Dikeman will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at North Park Trinity Baptist Church, Claremore, OK. Burial will follow at the Dikeman family cemetery. Friends may visit at MMS-Payne Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 1-8 p.m., with family receiving visitors from 6-8 p.m. Jim passed away on October 19, 2022. He was 80 years old.

Born August 4, 1942, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Melvin Benjamin and Maggie Lee (Hendricks) Dikeman, Jim attended school at Sequoyah. When he finished school, he was employed by Lowrance Ranch in Claremore. He and Dale Casey were married on November 3, 1961. Jim was then drafted into the US Army and served his time in Fort Sill, OK, and in Vietnam. Upon returning, he was a union iron worker, then worked at Ingersoll Ranch in Inola, OK.

Jim was an extremely active life member of the local VFW and the American Legion, and was a past Commander for both. He was also a member of the local Masonic Lodge and the Thoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma.

Surviving family members include nieces and nephews: Terri Moss, Tonya Jordan, Kelly Oxford, David Casey, Bobby Casey, Kit Kelley, Shelly Wilhoite, and Tina Abicca; and brother-in-law Gary Casey, as well as a multitude of friends and family that will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dale, and brother Bill.
