Service for Jimmy Joe Boyd, Jr. will be 1:00p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Winganon Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, February 19 from 1pm-8pm, with family receiving visitors from 6pm-8pm. Jimmy passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was 60.
Born March 21, 1957 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Jimmy Joe Boyd, Sr. and Frances Ellen Roberts Boyd, Jimmy attended school in Chelsea. His worked as a pipe fitter and boiler maker, working until health challenges made it necessary to retire. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, when he was younger he enjoyed working with horses. One might say that Jimmy was a little ornery; he enjoyed life and made no excuses for it.
Those family members that survive include his daughter Shayla Boyd of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; his mother Frances Dennis of Claremore; his sisters Peggy Bacon and husband Jerry also of Claremore and Julie Stark of Chouteau; his nieces and nephews Chris Workman, Matthew Stinnett and wife Misty, Elizabeth Rosebrough and husband Stuart, Jeremy Tibbs, Sarah Smith and husband Brooks, Ann Bacon, Boyd Stark and wife Christian; his aunts and uncles Lavern Johnston, Floyd Boyd, George Roberts, Tom Roberts, Betty Bateman and Elmer Roberts. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father Jimmy, Sr., his sister Cindy Boyd and his grandparents.
