Funeral service for Jimmy Dale Griffin will be 2 p.m., Mon., Nov. 29, at the Chelsea Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Chelsea Cemetery.
Jim died Sat., Nov. 20, 2010, at Methodist Hospital, Dallas, TX, at the age of 64.
The son of Bill Barnes and Frallendar Lucille (Morse) Griffin was born Dec. 27, 1945, in Madill. Jim graduated from Fredrick High School in 1959. He then worked in the farming industry for several years, before meeting his future wife, Marcella. After they married they moved to Texas where Jim worked as an electrician. Jim loved fishing, and entered many tournaments. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and OU football.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella of the home; son, Ivan of the home; daughter, Melanie of Muskogee; brother, Rueben Griffin and wife, Faye of Claremore; sisters: Maxine Wickliffe and husband, George of Tahlequah, Billie Blair of Tulsa, and Sue Bible and husband, James of Chelsea; and 2 grandchildren.
