Memorial service for James Matthew "J.W./Jimmy" Walker will be 11 a.m., Thursday, December 22, at Inola Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Denny Korver officiating.
Jimmy passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, at Heritage Hills Nursing Home, McAlester, at the age of 63.
The son of Charles Walker and Helen Marie (Eck) Walker was born August 22, 1953, in Tulsa. He grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Rogers High School. Jimmy met the love of his life, Paula Elaine Dale, on a blind date. They were married in 1975 in Tulsa where they made their home. They later moved to 40 acres in Inola. He built their home, and loved working on the land with his tractor.
Jimmy excelled at his job as a concrete pumper, working on about every building in the Tulsa area. He worked for several companies through the years, with his last employment at ACI Concrete Pumping.
He enjoyed cars, and was very proud of his '57 Chevy. He was also a "do-it-yourself" guy and enjoyed puttering around the house fixing whatever he found.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Paula of the home; and brothers: C.T. Walker of Canton, TX, and Mark Walker and wife, Gail of Houston, TX.
