Joada passed away Wed., Oct. 17, 2012, at her home at the age of 80.

The daughter of Robert and Myrtle Marsh was born July 5, 1932, in a small house in Pea Green, CO. She grew up in that farm house through the seventh grade. They sold the farm and moved to Delta, CO, at the start of her 8th grade year and by God's grace she was able to attend Campion Academy throughout high school. These were hallmark years for Joada. She remained in close contact with many friends from there until the day she went to sleep. Every year she strived to attend Alumni weekend at Campion and looked forward to those trips.

After high school graduation, Joada attended Union College in Lincoln, NE. It was here that she became acquainted with and eventually married Darrell Beyer. After Darrell graduated in 1953, they relocated to South Dakota for a short time before being called to Ketchum, OK, where they would teach in the Adventist School System. Joada and Darrell were soon blessed with two healthy, BIG, baby boys: Douglas Eric Beyer and Allan Robert Beyer.

Joada was a woman of many talents! Besides being a devoted wife, mother, and teacher, she took a cosmetology class and became a hairdresser. She worked out of her home as a hairdresser for many years. Eventually she went on to complete her education and received her Masters Degree from the University of Tulsa. Unfortunately, she and Darrell were divorced in 1970.

In 1973, Joada remarried Dennis McGehee and inherited two more BIG boys: Dennis James McGehee and Randall Wayne McGehee. She and Dennis were married for 18 years until he passed away from cancer in 1992.

In September 1992, Julius Korgan swept her off her feet! Joada and Julius had been friends for a long time already. In fact, at one time, Julius was her teacher. Joada happily embraced an additional four adult children: Dwight Korgan and his wife, Christy, Allen Korgan, Heather Korgan and her husband, Mike, and Barbara and her husband, Richard Olt.

Joada has been a loving mother and grandmother to not only her biological children and grandchildren, but also to her extended family.

Joada was very active in the Claremore Seventh Day Adventist Church. In her own words, her "greatest desire is that ALL of us be in Heaven when Jesus comes back to take us home." In her last days, she said, "Each one of you means more to me than you can even imagine. I could write pages about what love I have for you, but hopefully I have shared enough of that love so that you all know how precious you are to me. Should I go before any of you, just carry that love in your hearts and minds and make a promise to meet me in Heaven."

Joada is survived by her husband, Julius; sons and wives: Doug and Bernice and Al and Sharon; grandchildren: Shannon, Ron and Trever Lepp, Andy, Tyler, and Aurora Beyer, and Ericca and Arin Beyer; and sisters-in-law: Margaret Marsh and Faye Marsh. She also has many step-children and grandchildren that she loved very dearly.
