Visitation for Joan Marie Garrison will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2017 at MMS-Payne Funeral Home in Claremore with Graveside Service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Chelsea City Cemetery.
Joan passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017. She was 84.
The daughter of Arthur and Janet Edith Stanton was born April 1, 1933 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She later moved to Chelsea, Oklahoma where she graduated from Chelsea High School. On May 26, 1951 she married the love of her life Owen Garrison. They were married for 54 years until his passing in 2006. She was a long time member of the Verdigris Assembly of God Church and lived in Catoosa since 1962. She was always involved in her children's and grandchildren's sports and activities.
Joan is survived by her daughters Carolyn Replogle and husband Larry of Catoosa, Linda Phillips and husband William of Catoosa, and Freda Whiteley and husband Jacky of Sarcoxie, Missouri. A sister Verna Keltner of Claremore and grandchildren Stacie Hackenberg, Trevor Replogle, Brandon Phillips, Lindsay Brooks, Josuah Whiteley, Matthew Whiteley and Rachel Beckett. as well as 13 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Owen, Her parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
