John B. Lingren passed away on Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at the age of 84.
The son of Pete and Linnie Pearl Ring Lingren was born June 8th, 1936 in Wenona, Illinois. As a young child his family moved to the Adair area. There he would attend Longbranch and Adair High School, graduating in 1953. He then enrolled in college, attending NEO in Miami and then Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater.

They would begin dating and married on April 7, 1957. The newlywed couple made their home in the Sequoyah area. In the years to follow, John worked the pipeline, running heavy equipment in many places and all over Alaska. In between pipeline jobs John would sell real estate. He retired from Operators and Engineers Union 607 in 1985.
In his spare time John enjoyed racing horses, dancing, and playing bridge. However, spending time with his family is what he enjoyed the most.
