Funeral service for John Walton Jr. will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2011 at Washington Baptist Church. Pastor Charlie Lehman will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 29, 2011 from 1 - 8 p.m. family will greet friends from 6 - 8 p.m. John Thomas Walton Jr. passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home in Claremore at the age of 61. The son of John and Virginia Smith Walton was born February 20, 1950 in Claremore. He was raised on a farm in rural Rogers County. He attended Sequoyah schools graduating with the class of 1968. After graduation he enrolled in the H.C. Lewis electric trade school in Oklahoma City. It was there with the help of a friend that he met Kathy Johnson.
