Graveside service for Johnny G. McClure will be 10:30a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Chelsea Cemetery, under the direction of Chelsea Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, April 11, from 4—6. Johnny passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014, at the age of 71.
Born November 19, 1942 in Claremore to William Edgar and Golda Maebelle (Downing) McClure, Johnny was raised in the Chelsea and Bushyhead area, he attended school at Bushyhead. He was raised by Lavonda Ragsdale Ramsey and Charles Otto Ragsdale. On August 10, 1960 Johnny married Thelma Louise Dicks; she passed away in June of 1971. He was employed at Hydrohoist here in Claremore. Johnny enjoyed fishing and camping every chance he could, he also coached little league baseball as well.
Johnny is survived by his children Johnny Ramsey and wife Cheri of Claremore, Patricia Coats and husband Travis and Neil Ramsey both of Chelsea; many grandchildren; sister Mary Ann Turtle of Pryor; brother Donald Ramsey. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his son David Allen McClure, his half sister Catherine Lorene McClure and half brothers Lawrence W. McClure, Alfred H. McClure, Charles Edward Pauls and Robert Pauls.
