Johnny Marvin Potter

Graveside service for Johnny Marvin Potter will be 10 a.m., Thurs., July 15, at the Chelsea Cemetery with Rick Lairmore officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Musgrove-Merriott-Smith Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wed. 1-8 p.m., and family will greet friends 6-8 p.m.

Johnny died Sat., July 10, 2010, at St. John's Hospital at the age of 58.

The son of Charlie Marvin and JoEllen (Palone) Potter was born Oct. 13, 1951, in Tulsa. He graduated from Rogers High School, and served in the U.S. Army from 1971-73. He was an iron worker and a member of Local 584. Johnny also worked for National Waste. He loved singing, playing guitar, fishing, and playing golf.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Roger and Charles Potter.

He is survived by his children: Johnny Marvin Potter, Jr. of Colorado, Dennis Potter and wife, Julie, James Potter, Bobbi McBroom and husband, Jason, and Brandy Potter and husband, Cody Martin all of Tulsa; brothers: Carey Potter and wife, Sharon of Tulsa, Danny Jones of Salina, and Donnie Jones of Foyil; sister, Brenda Lairmore of Chelsea; and grandchildren: Andrew and Chelsea Potter, Valerie and Kayla Potter, Paige Potter, Kody, Megan and Brandon McBroom, and Johnathan Martin.
