Joyce Ellen Lord, a beloved member of the community, has sadly passed away on June 26, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on August 20, 1942 in Vinita, Oklahoma, Joyce led a fulfilling life where she touched the hearts of many.
She grew up attending Chelsea and Vinita Public Schools until the 8th grade. Joyce worked as a bartender and club manager for many years, making significant contributions to establishments such as the Cognito Club, Cave Club, Harvard Tower, Kodiac Club, Levi Country, and the Longhorn.
Later in life, Joyce shifted gears and found fulfillment as a home health care provider. Her compassionate nature allowed her to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. She selflessly cared for others and brought comfort to countless individuals.

Throughout her life, Joyce was known for being a perfectionist. Whether it was tending to her garden and planting beautiful flowers or meticulously working on crafts, she poured her heart into every endeavor she pursued. Her attention to detail showed through in everything she did.
In her leisure time, Joyce found joy in exploring thrift stores and discovering hidden treasures. This hobby fueled her sense of adventure and allowed her to find beauty in the simplest things. Additionally, she cherished spending time with her dogs who brought endless happiness into her life.
Family meant everything to Joyce, and she leaves behind a legacy built on love and devotion. She is preceded in death by her parents Hise Wills and Mildred Wills; Stepmother Dorothy Wills; brother Danny Wills; sister Sandra Wills.
 Joyce is survived by her children Kevin Swigart, David Lechner and his wife Shawna, Tommy Snyder and his wife Tresa, and Ronica Warden and her husband Jim; Sister Marilyn Rue;  She also leaves behind her uncle Leon Wills and his wife Mona, niece Claudie Bailey, as well as a host of grandchildren: Haley, Breck, Kaylin, Joshua, Jacob, Allison, Michael, Ryan, Summer, Becca, Heather, Tiffany, Brittany. Joyce's legacy continues through her 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Joyce Ellen Lord will forever be remembered for her kind heart and unwavering dedication to those around her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. 

A visitation in memory of Joyce Ellen Lord will take place on July 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at MMS-Payne Funeral Home and Cremation Services-Claremore located at 102 W 5th St in Claremore, Oklahoma. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during this time.
A graveside service will be held on July 3, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. The service will commence at 11:00 AM to bid farewell to this remarkable woman who has touched the lives of so many.
