Joyce Lynn Roberts

Joyce passed away at St. John’s hospital on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the age of 71.


The daughter of Patrick Joseph and Louis Idabelle (Kimball) Reale, was born September 8, 1948 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was raised in Oologah where she attended school. She was a member of the graduating class of 1966. It was also in Oologah where she would first meet Roy Roberts. They would marry on October 14, 1963. The evening of their marriage Joyce and Roy left for Fresno, California, where they would spend the next 9 years. When they moved back to Oklahoma they settled in the Foyil area. For the next several years Joyce concentrated on raising her family. When she decided to return to work she started working for Bank of Chelsea, and then later began working at the Rogers County Court House. She retired in 2010 as an Administrative Assistant for the District Attorney’s office.

Joyce was the happiest when she was at home surrounded by her family, especially her grandkids. She also enjoyed fishing, working in her yard and cooking.
Those family members that survive her include her husband Roy Roberts of their home; sons Matt Roberts and wife Sonda, and Jim Roberts and wife Nickie; grandchildren Emily Roberts, Garrett Roberts, R.J. Roberts, and Jaylin Roberts; and sister Joann Schulze, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jerry Lee Reale.
