As a young girl Nita was raised in the Roswell area. She attended Roswell schools graduating in 1948. On December 15, 1948 Nita married William "Bill" Ramm in Carlsbad, New Mexico. However, in the early part of the 1970s, Nita found her calling in real estate. She earned her license and started Ramm Real Estate, becoming one of the first realtors in the area. In 2011 she retired after 40 years of service. Her hobbies included: raising flowers, gardening, and taking care of the family's exotic animals.
