Funeral service for Judith Darlene Fowlkes will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 26, at the First Baptist Church of Inola. Pastor Joe Reeves will officiate. Burial will follow in Oilton at Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Inola Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
Judith passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at her home in Inola at the age of 70.
The daughter of Albert and Cleo Guest Williams was born January 24, 1943 in Drumright, Oklahoma. As a young girl she attended Olive High School graduating in 1961. After graduation she moved to the Oklahoma City area. There she began working for the health department. Wanting to pursue a teaching career Judith returned to college. She received her associates from Rogers State then her bachelors from Northeastern State. Upon receiving her teaching certificate she began working for Inola Public School. She retired in 2004 with over 20 years of service. When she had free time there were several hobbies she enjoyed. Volunteering at the zoo was one of her favorites, she also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Cleo Williams.
Survivors include her son, Anthony "Tony" Webre and wife Frances of Chouteau; daughter, Laurel Nichols husband Dave of Denver, Colorado; sister, Janene Beall and husband Bill of Olive 3 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
