Judith Kaye Thompson, 70, of Claremore OK, went to heaven on October 6, 2013. She was born in Bentonville, Arkansas to Herman and Eva (Russell) Ketchum of Jane, Missouri on September 23, 1943. She was the proud descendant of the first pioneers of McDonald County, Missouri. Judith was the beloved wife of the late Harold “Bear” Thompson, also of Claremore, for 51 years. She was a longtime employee of Claremore Regional Hospital and loyal advocate for animals. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wayne Thompson,; daughter, Gayla Lynette Hicks, and her sisters; Margie Catherine Larson, Ruth Pauline Holland, and Gloria Grace Holland. She is survived by and will be missed by her daughter, Shanna Christine Heustis and husband, Michael; her grandchildren, Sarah Hazelwood and husband, Damon, Caitlin Lewis, Bryce Weinrich, Hailey Heustis, Dakota Hazelwood, and Anna Hazelwood; her great grandchildren Matthew Roach, Abigail Smart, and Breanna Clark. A private memorial service to honor Judith’s life will be held at a future date. Memorial gifts may be made to the Rogers County Humane Society.
