Funeral service for Judy Darlene Combs will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the MMS-Payne Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8.
Judy passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at the age of 77.
The daughter of James and Geraldine McDonald Tener was born August 21st, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri. As a young girl, she and her family moved to the Tulsa area. There she attended school, graduating from Central High School in 1960. After graduation she began her working career in the Tulsa, area. There she later met and married Dennis Frailey. To this marriage two sons were born. In the mid1970's, she would meet Jim Combs. They would begin dating, and marry on June 1, 1975. This marriage moved Judy and her sons to Chelsea. Judy loved the small town atmosphere. It led her to help with the Chelsea Booster Club while her kids were in school, as well as attending the Chelsea Assembly of God Church.
In her spare time Judy had many hobbies and enjoyments in her life. She loved painting, reading, and watching the Oklahoma Sooners on TV. She loved spending time at the lake, boating and skiing. There were also many memorable trips in the RV, going camping. However her true calling came with the birth of her grandchildren. They affectionately referred to her as "Mama Jewey".
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Geraldine; husband, Jim Combs, and sister Linda Johnson.
Survivors include her children, Marc Frailey and wife Pepper, and Kevin Frailey and wife Mandy, all of Chelsea; grandchildren, Jacque Frailey Petts and husband Devon, Cassie Frailey, Nate Frailey, Tori Frailey, Amber Collier, Misty Collier, and Joseph Frailey, and great-grandson, Levi Petts.
